Take a break from the usual grind of life. Find things to be thankful for. And most importantly tell someone about it.
This week I wanted to write about the wave of lawsuits, legislation, and quotes about protecting kids on the internet. However, funny thing happened last night. My wife asked me what was happening for Thanksgiving… THIS THURSDAY!
Putting aside the quirkiness of when Thanksgiving falls every year. It really snuck up on me this year. It’s my favorite holiday because it is a time when everyone can try take a break and be thankful for something outside of themselves.
For me, this is a year of many firsts.
- First child
- New home
- Starting a business
- Making videos
- Writing newsletters
- Building products and services
And yet, in a newsletter about building healthy habits with technology. I found myself stressing about the next launch, newsletter, and project. Rather than spending time with my family.
Ouch.
So this week, I just quickly want to say that I am thankful for you.
You could spend your time and mental energy anywhere else, but you are here reading a newsletter that attempts to shine light on ways to make tech less harmful and more useful in our daily lives.
I thank you for being a fun part of this journey and I look forward to what’s ahead.
This Week’s Challenge
Take time to not only reflect on things you are thankful for. But in whatever platform you find yourself on the most: post it, share it, be part of bringing joy and light to someone else’s world this week.
