Are the articles really free?
Yes, all of them, always. Membership covers done-for-you work and supporting materials, not access to the writing.

What do I get for being a member?
A web presence built, hosted, and looked after for you. You also get the member library (guides and lessons from real builds) and monthly group office hours. See Membership.

Is this an anti-AI site?
No. The journal is about being honest about AI: what it's genuinely good at in everyday life, where it falls short, and how to tell which is which.

Do you use AI to build sites?
Yes. AI helps me design and build faster, which is part of why prices are where they are. It's also wrong sometimes, so every word and every page is reviewed and approved by me, and nothing about your business is invented. I've written up exactly how I use AI, including where it helps and where it doesn't.

Do I need to know anything technical?
No. Page members never touch the site; you send me a request. Site members can make simple edits with short guides, and anything bigger comes to me.

Is there a setup fee?
No. The build is included in the membership.

What's the commitment?
Membership is a 12-month commitment, paid monthly or yearly. The yearly option saves about two months. The annual term is what lets me skip a setup fee.

What happens if I cancel?
You can cancel anytime. If you cancel during the first year, the site comes down at cancellation, or you can pay the remainder of the year and we can help you host it on your platforms.

Can I own my site and host it myself?
Yes. Independence is one of the values here. If you'd like to own the account and pay for hosting directly, I'll build it and hand it off, and you keep full membership. Ask when you sign up.

What's a "change request"?
Something you'd like changed on your site: new text, a new photo, updated hours. Page and Site members get two per month. Fixes for things that are broken don't count against your limit.

What happens in office hours?
It's a live monthly group call. Bring questions about your site, getting found, AI tools you're considering, or something you read and aren't sure you believe. Sessions are recorded for the library.

What's in the library?
Practical guides, plus anonymized lessons from real member builds. Nothing that identifies a member or their business is ever shared, and contributing is opt-in.

Which plan is right for me?
If one clear page about what you do and how to reach you would cover it, choose Page. If you need several pages or want to update things yourself, choose Site.
